Miley Cyrus has had to defend her skinny frame from those who suggested she looked a bit too thin. According to a recent tweet, Miley suggests why she doesn’t always eat.

Miley, 19, tweeted on Friday July 20, “thinking about eating Ziggy’s dog food I’m so hungry. But I’m stuck in this hotel like friggen Rapunzel cuz of the soul suckers on the street.”

Those “soul suckers” are better known as the paparazzi!

Okay, so Miley is reportedly just doing a lot of pilates to keep her slim frame, but those paparazzi better leave Miley alone! We don’t want to see her get any skinnier!

Miley Cyrus shows off unlikely new tattoo

Miley Cyrus, 19, has added to her collection of ink. The future Mrs. Liam Hemsworth displayed what has to be her most visible tattoo yet, a quote on her left forearm, Tuesday while leaving a Pilates class in West Hollywood. The tattoo features a quote from an unlikely source: former President of the United States Theodore Roosevelt. It reads, "So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat." Roosevelt gave the quote as part of an often-cited 1910 speech "Citizenship in a Republic," or "The Man in the Arena," that Teddy gave at the Sorbonne in Paris, where it was well received. A longer excerpt reads: "It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. 

The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat." Another Commander in Chief, President Richard Nixon, referred to the speech during his 1974 resignation, saying "Sometimes I have succeeded and sometimes I have failed, but always I have taken heart from what Theodore Roosevelt once said about the man in the arena, 'whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood....'

Cyrus, who often tweets out quotations that she likes, posted the Roosevelt words to her Twitter account on July 3. Some of the other gems she's tweeted out in the last week, include lyrics from The Flaming Lips' song "Do You Realize??" and the words of Albert Einstein, who said, "If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things."

Some of those quotes could end up as tattoos later, since Cyrus has shown she's definitely into ink. She has more than a dozen tattoos, including a dreamcatcher that covers much of her right ribcage, which is reportedly her largest one, and an equal sign on her ring finger to show her support for gay marriage. The 19-year-old star yesterday took her dog for a walk in Los Angeles wearing little more than a tiny blue sports bra top and a pair of tight cropped black leggings.

She told one fan: 'Everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, physical and mental health is amazing. You won't go back!'

Miley's frame has been noticeably slimmer lately - in comparison to just seven months ago during a performance on stage in November.

Fans of the former Hannah Montana star became concerned about the star after after she recently tweeted a photograph of herself inhaling the contents of a Carl's Jr fast food meal.
She wrote underneath the picture; 'I can't eat it. So I'm just gonna smell the s*** out of it! My mouth is LITERALLY watering.'
The star has previously spoken out over the pressure on women to look a certain way.
Back in December she tweeted: 'By calling girls like me fat this is what you're doing to other people. I love MYSELF & if you could say the same.'

“For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It’s not about weight it’s about health,” she tweeted.

Now that gluten has been re-branded as “crapppp,” the gears of popular culture are turning and the processed-wheat intolerant are becoming the envy of those with boring, regularly functioning intestinal tracts. Cyrus has been inducted into the not-so-gluttonous ranks of the veggie, meat and yogurt fundamentalists.

She's embraced the wild child tag with gusto in recent years, and it doesn't seem like Miley Cyrus is planning to stop anytime soon. Following hot on heels of her decision to lob her flowing locks off in favour of a scruffy bob, Miley has added to her tattoo collection.

The petite beauty, who is happily dating Australian Liam Hemsworth, might just be tempting fate with her new new inking, however.

Cyrus showed up at Studio City Tattoo at around eight pm last night with a few friends, including Liam Hemsworth. 

She was the only one of her party to gain any body art on the trip, and chose the phrase Love Never Dies on the inside of her left bicep.

The Party In The USA singer already has 11 tattoos.

The Hannah Montana alum has 'Just Breathe' on her chest, 'Love' in her ear, a dreamcatcher on her side, an anchor on her right wrist, an 'ohm' symbol of her left wrist, and a skull on her ankle.

On her right hand she has five tiny tattoos on her fingers: an equal sign, a peace symbol, a cross, a heart, and the word 'karma.'

And Miley may be referring to her father's decision to drop the divorce with her mother last year, rather than her budding affair with Hemsworth.

Whatever the inspiration, the 19-year-old seems determined to knock all those cutesy edges off, along with her recently dispatched tresses.

Miley, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, sported a much longer style at the People's Choice Awards last month, when she wore her blonde tresses draped over right shoulder.

The teenager is back into tweeting with abandon after ditching the social network site a couple of years ago.

Back in October 2009, Miley posted a rap online to explain why she was abandoning Twitter, implying that she lost her focus on real life and began seeking approval by 'living for people'.

She sang: 'The reasons are simple: I started tweeting about pimples. I stopped living for moments and started living for people.'

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez has replac­ed Miley as the voice of Dracula’s teenage daugh­ter Mavis in a new Sony animation Hotel Tran­syl­va­nia.

The pro­duc­tion stu­dio would not com­ment on why Cyrus was leav­ing the film, in which Adam Sandler voices the character of Drac­ula.

Miley hasn't burnt out yet though, and her career is still in full force, with her lastest role seeing her star alongside Hollywood A-lister Demi Moore.

The pair star in LOL, a film that follows 15-year-old Lola who is dumped by her boyfriend and then pursues his best friend.
