It comes as as her latest music video for Laserlight is released with music producer David Guetta.
The 24-year-old performed at The Roxy in West Hollywood last night with guests including British boyband The Wanted, who are also trying to crack the U.S. market.
Katy re-tweeted a comment by her music producer Dr Luke, which said: 'jessiejofficial performing tonight in LA !!! she sings so good live !!!!'
She added that the singer 'schools everyone'.
Jessie then tweeted about the T-shirt she was wearing which had a pictures of Mario and Luigi from the Mario Bros video game.
She said she's bought it in extra large and cut it herself.
Katy obviously admired her fashion sense and re-tweeted the comment.
Meanwhile, Jessie's new music video has caused uproar among her fans who said it was not her usual style.
It features the singer in an array of skimpy costumes, getting ready in front of a mirror, as well as sitting in a movie theatre and dancing in a club.
One fan said on Twitter: 'Not going to lie @jessiejofficial I dont really like the laserlight vid, I can speak for a lot of heartbeats we don't really think its "you".'
